Weird Portland Pub Tour

1 / 14

Overview

This tour is a must-do for anyone who likes beer and is interested in Portland’s artistic flair. Skip those boring tours about the Founding Fathers; we tell stories of Bigfoot sightings, exploding whales, a bagpipe-playing unicyclist, wacky themed bike rides, hipsters, the world’s smallest park, aliens, and more!

The tour takes place in the vibrant Hawthorne/Division neighborhoods. Known for its funky hangouts, cool eateries, and one-of-a-kind pubs. This area is a must-visit. We stop at the neighborhood’s most loved murals and tell the stories behind them.

Your tour guide, Otniel, is also one-of-a-kind. With years of experience and a passion for Portland’s local legends and quirky culture, Otniel is simply the best guide in the business.

Experience the eccentricity of Portland, Oregon, and visit its quirkiest neighborhoods on this walking pub tour. You won’t regret it!

What to expect

  1. Chuckanut Brewery P. Nut Beer Hall

    30 min

We kick off at Chuckanut Brewery, one of Portland's highest rated watering holes, where you'll sample a flight of four beers per person. The flight is on us and included in the ticket price! Experience some award winning beer surrounded by lots of natural wood and a hip northwest vibe. Your Tour guide will start with historic legends including exploding whales and erupting volcanoes and an infamous highjacking.

  2. Hawthorne Asylum Food Cart Pod

    30 min

Hawthorne Asylum is a food cart pod named after an old mental hospital. With old brick walls and barbed wire fencing, it still resembles the "asylum"

  3. Lucky Labrador Brewing Company

    30 min

We stop by this classic Portland brewery for more stories and an option beverage.

  4. CARTOPIA FOOD CARTS

    30 min

One of Portland's famous food cart pods.

  5. McMenamins Barley Mill Pub

    30 min

The home of "keep portland weird." With all sorts of unique artifacts on the walls, it doesn't get much stranger than this small local pub / brewery. This is our last stop on the tour where you are welcome to order food.
